Oliver Loveday is your typical teenager growing up today, but his world is about to change. You see, Oliver knows his father, Angel, acted in films when he was younger, but what he doesn’t know is the films were soft porn films. His friend Perry seems very interested to the point of obsession when he tells Oliver all about his father’s past. At the same time, Angel is at his book store running his business as always with his assistant Summer. Later on, Perry takes pleasure in telling Oliver about all of the films that Angel was in with excruciating detail. Oliver invites his friends over and Angel is weirded out by Perry.
Things start to get strange as pictures of Angel in compromising positions are left for Angel at work, but when a picture is left tacked on Angel’s door with a knife, he decides to call the police in and Detective Billy Sharpe takes a very personal interest in the case. As the strange and scary situations continue, Billy and Angel must work together to find the culprit before it is too late.
Ms. Hauser has created another fast paced story with strong characters, with very human frailties, that have to overcome difficult situations. The idea of having a stalker is a scary one that many people have had to deal with in their lives. Angel shows remarkable strength in taking care of business and protecting his child throughout this frightening period. Many parents have done things that they later regret and their children have to deal with the outcome, just like Oliver did. The growing fascination and love between Angel and Billy is wonderful to behold. The unique and compelling situations kept spellbound to the very end, but did they find the guilty party? Read this book to find out.
