Book: For Love and Money

EXCERPT FROM BOOK
Grabbing his face in his hands to make him search his eyes, Jason paused until he had that furious glare all to his own. "And my name will be scratched off her very soon. I've every intention of divorcing her, Ewan. We never consummated the bloody marriage! I've been shoving her into having an affair! I have been yours since that day you left England! Do you hear what I am saying?"

Biting his trembling lip, Ewan said, "You had no faith...none, in your Ewan. I know exactly what everyone back home thought, yeah? I'd come home defeated. Broken. Begging the fat arse Darren for me theater job back—Oh, I know. I know."

Holding that smooth jaw tightly, not letting him turn away, Jason was close enough to kiss those lush lips. "I'm sorry, love. That may be the truth. I still don't know how you did it. Yet, I'm so glad you got your dream. But, we both were a bit blind back then. Not just me with money. You. You wanted this fame with everything you owned. Don't put it all on me, love."

"Aye. You're right, Jason. I did need this fame. I did leave you because of it. It's the honest truth, love."

Softening completely at the confession, Jason moved even closer to him on the couch bringing his cheek to rest against Ewan's. "God, I've missed you," Jason moaned, stroking back Ewan's long hair. "A day has not passed that I have not thought of you, wished I could speak to you."

Releasing his tight back muscles, Ewan rest his body against Jason's. "Aye. The same here, love. I did try to find you. You have to believe me. I even rung the hospital. It was useless." Opening his eyes, Ewan glimpsed down at the open white robe Jason was wearing. His solid thighs were revealed. Runner's legs. Powerful and long. Very slowly, he moved his left hand down, gently pushing back the fabric to expose him.

"No. I didn't expect them to give out my home information, Ewan. The day Margerie passed on, I gave my notice. Just telling that prick, Edward Butts, I was leaving, gave me great satisfaction."

"Aye," Ewan laughed softly, "I bet it did. I know how much you hated that place, Jason." Secretly having pushed the robe aside, Ewan had a grand view of Jason's erection.

"I did, love. It was one of the motivating factors in my decision." Jason gently moved back to see Ewan's face. When he noticed his eyes flicker downward, he glanced at his lap, then back up to Ewan's smirk. "You naughty boy!"

Ewan burst out laughing. "You think a year has made a difference? Yeah?" he roared with laughter.

Hearing that wonderful sound, Jason's heart burst with pleasure. "Oh, my love. I adore you."

"I'm sick of this bloody talk. All you wanted to do on our weekend in Windermere was talk! Yeah? I wanted a shag-fest, you—a chat!"

"No! That's not true! Believe me! I wanted your arse! Make no mistake! But, I just wanted you to know where I stood."

"Yeah?" Ewan challenged, "And now? Where do you stand now, Dr. Jason Phillips?"

Slowly moving his eyes back to his lap, Jason then met Ewan's bright gaze to whisper, "I'm through talking."

"Brilliant!" Ewan dove on him, pushing him back on the couch, finding his mouth.

Groaning in pleasure, Jason wrapped around him, squeezing him tightly, amazed he had this lovely male back in his arms. It just didn't seem possible.
